Works wrongly attributed
to Taras Shevchenko

In our time known about 250 paintings and drawings, which at different times and for different reasons, were considered works of Taras Shevchenko. Among them – a whole album of pictures by Vasily Ivanovich Sterberg, a close friend of Shevchenko, copies of original works of Shevchenko, works with forged signatures of Shevchenko and others.

The following list gives the names of the pieces, their storage in our time, the grounds on which they were assigned to shevchenko, and explanations of erroneous of these bases.
