Registered by G.M. Chestahivsky in 1861 in description the Shevchenko's graphics, that were in his academic workshop at No. 100 with the title "Sultan and turk woman on the couch" [Department of manuscripts and textology Shevchenko Literature institute National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, fund 1, № 459].
Sketch is a variant of composition watercolors of the same name.
