Left bottom is marked: 15. Sketch located on the back of the 8th sheet of album 1839 1843.
Left the figure of two peasants, right four profiles, the figure from the back and the image of the old farmer in profile, ink inscription under it: Father Taras Shevchenko (by indication of Shevchenko himself). This text is not true, because his father Grigory Shevchenko died on the 39 year life (1786 1825), when Shevchenko was 11 years, rather this may be a grandfather, Ivan Shvec (approx. 1752 28.01.1849), who was alive at the first arrival of Shevchenko in Ukraine.
Dated by time of the first trip Shevchenko in Ukraine.
