Sheremetev Boris (1652 – 1719) – Count, the Russian military leader and diplomat, General Field Marshal.

Portrait of B.P. Sheremetev made after the original by I.P. Argunov. During Shevchenko's staying in St. Petersburg it was in Sheremetev's Palace on the Fontanka. Currently stored in the former Sheremetev's estate near Moscow, museums Kuskovo [Palamarchuk G.P. Portraits painted by famous artist // Visual art. – 1981. – № 2. – P 20].

Shevchenko could also use engravings, executed by P.Antypiev and S. Fedoseev after original by I.P. Argunov.

Looking at portraits of B.P. Sheremetev, engraved after I.P. Argunov, D.A. Rovinsky also describes portrait inserted in the N.A.Polevoj's book, without mentioning names of artist and engraver [Rovinsky D.A. Detailed dictionary of Russian engraved portraits. – St. Petersburg, 1889.-T. 2. – S. 1835].
