Study Baygush to the picture "Baygush below the window" carried on the back of tinted sheet, which Shevchenko later cut into two parts, from the bottom cut rectangle measuring 12.2 × 9.6 cm. Below the left, at the feet Baygush, light outline in oval. Its plot perhaps connected with a record Shevchenko in the diary of 20.VI 1857:

"Tomorrow, early steamboat will raise the anchor and the day after tomorrow will land in the company in Novopetrovsk harbor. Hold on, our official… Waiting for this terrible judge and executioner drunkards feares and beg Aesculapius invent and uniforms attestated their unprecedented mental and physical infirmities… our brother, a soldier, also drunkards and does not have what appear before the face of his father, the commander, Nicholsky lay on cots and prescribe a laxative".

Barely visible outline of the same Baygush placed on page 23 autograph story "Gemini" which is written 10.VI 1855 – 20.VII 1856 [Institute of Literature National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, inv. number 1441]. For technical reasons sketch is not reproduced.

On the front side of the top of the worksheet later performed a sketch landscape (see number 164).
