On the back – sketch of bridegroom to "Matchmakers" etching and other sketches.

The figures drawed on the sheet 1 (flyleaf) of Album 1840 – 1844. At the bottom left is marked with ink: 1 (number of page in album).

Left top – sketch on the motives of the "Blind woman" poem (like picture "Blind woman with daughter").

Right below – sketch of the painting "Catherine" – "Grandfather in the pasture".

Above the figure of a soldier with a gun – a fragment of sketch to "At rest" illustration to "History of Suvorov".

Left bottom – thumbnail illustrations of the described in the book (page 35) episodes rescue Suvorov, who fell into the water while ferry across the Vistula (not included for publication).

Below middle – sketch of a young man with a book (similar sketch).

Dating 1841 – 1842 according to the time work on the pieces, to which made sketches.

Reproduced for the first time in 1911 on the postal card issued by the company "Education"; with name "Seven essays" – in a book by A.P. Novitsky 1914 [Novitsky Ol. Taras Shevchenko as a painter. – Lviv, Moscow, 1914. – p. 67. – № 446. – Tab. 51]

Storage areas within the Album: no later than 1885 – came to the V.V. Tarnowski's collection; from 1899 – V. Tarnowski's Chernihiv museum of ukrainian antiquities, 1925 – Chernihiv Historical Museum, 1933 – Taras Shevchenko institute; since 1936 – Shevchenko Institute of ukrainian literature.
