Drawings made on 3rd sheet of album 1840 – 1844. Inscription at the bottom left: 5 (number of page in album).

Dated due to the fact that these plants are shown in many works 1840 – 1841 – Corner of Smolensk cemetery", "Powwow", "Gypsy fortune-teller", "Suvorov on guard" and others.

First commented and reproduced in 1932 by A.P. Novitsky called "Thorn" [T. Shevchenko Complete Works. – [Kharkiv, 1932. – T. 8]. – p. 4. – № 5. – Tab. 145].

Storage sites within the Album: no later than 1885 was received by V. Tarnowskі; from 1899 – V. Tarnowski's Chernihiv museum of ukrainian antiquities, 1925 – Chernihiv Historical Museum, 1933 – Taras Shevchenko institute; since 1936 – Shevchenko Institute of ukrainian literature.
