Illustration to text on page 298 of book, which refers to painting a Suvorov's portrait and falsely stated that the 1800 portrait of the commander in Prague performed by H.-D. Miller (Mueller), court painter of the Elector of Saxony. However, he died almost three years before the arrival of Suvorov [Rovinsky A. Detailed Dictionary of Russians engraved portraits. – St. Petersburg, 1889. – Vol. 2. – p. 1698 – 1699].

"Model" for Shevchenko's artwork could be half-length portrait of Suvorov by Johann Heinrich Schmidt (1749 – 1829) or engraved by James Walker (1748 – 1808) portrait of Suvorov (full length) by Johann-Augustus Atkinson (1799).

July 27, 1843 it was announced in the press that the third issue of "History of Suvorov" sent to subscribers [Northern Bee. – 1843. – 27 July], where the artwork was reproduces for the first time.
